A TV isn't showing my latest changes

Changes to items, prices and sold-out status appear after you press Publish in the menu editor. Open TV screens pick up the new version within about 20 seconds. If a TV has been offline, it catches up on its own once the connection is back. Display settings (template and categories) apply after you press Save on the display's settings page, with no publishing needed.

Setting up a TV

The setup we support is Google Chrome running on a computer (a mini PC, laptop or desktop) connected to the TV by HDMI.

PourSlate menus have also run well in our testing in the Silk Browser on Amazon Fire TV: open pourslate.com/tv in Silk and enter the code it shows in your dashboard. Fire TV models and software updates vary, and a Fire TV's own sleep, screensaver and power-saving settings can still turn the screen off, so we can't promise it on every Fire TV. Turn off its screensaver and keep an eye on it for a day before you count on it.

Other smart-TV browsers and streaming devices haven't been tested. You're welcome to try, but they may go to sleep, not go full screen or stop updating. Once you're logged in, the TV setup guide in your dashboard walks through it step by step.

My QR code

Each menu's QR code points to a permanent link, so printed codes keep working when you rename or edit the menu. The code appears in the menu editor after the menu is published for the first time.

The QR menu shows your latest published changes whenever a customer opens it or refreshes the page. A page that's already open on someone's phone doesn't change by itself.

Your first publish starts a free 7-day trial, with no card needed and no automatic charge when it ends. To keep your menus live after that, subscribe from the Billing page in your dashboard. $19, plus any sales tax, is charged then and on the same day each month until you cancel.
